Marelize Feberwee

Marelize has had a diverse career path leading to her role as real estate sales consultant. She was born in South Africa where she gained a Bachelor of Laws degree before moving to New Zealand.

After gaining a Diploma in Journalism a career in media followed working from The Press in Christchurch. She quickly worked her way up from sub-editor to managing the production of all the features pages for all the major Fairfax daily newspapers in New Zealand. It was a challenging managerial position where the meeting of deadlines, communication and diplomacy skills were essential.

After the 2011 earthquakes a move to Ashburton meant Marelize took some time out as a stay-at-home mum before embarking on a career in retail working for Annie’s Country Quilt store.
Marelize is married to Alexander and are parents to Jack and Una. Giving back to her community is important to her and she has volunteered her time and skills to her children’s sports teams and schools.

In her free-time she reads, sews, runs and spends time having fun with her family doing water sports on various lakes across Canterbury and beyond.
